La Palma airport recorded 133,948 passengers in July, 2.6% more than in 2024

The Canary Islands’ airports recorded a total of 4,637,059 passengers in July, 6.3% more than in the same month in 2024.

Of the total number of passengers recorded, 4,597,800 were commercial passengers, of which 2,133,715 were on domestic flights, 6.4% more than in July last year, and 2,464,085 were on international flights, 5.9% more than in the same month in 2024.

In addition, 40,830 aircraft movements were handled, 4.6% more, and 2,828 tons of cargo were transported, 1.9% less than in July last year.

Airport traffic

Gran Canaria Airport recorded the highest number of passengers with 1,286,184, representing an increase of 6.4% compared to July 2024.

It was followed by Tenerife South Airport, with 1,094,961 passengers and an increase of 1.4%; César Manrique-Lanzarote, with 798,998 passengers (+7.3%); Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna, with 662,661 (+8.6%); Fuerteventura, with 617,573 (+12.6%); La Palma, with 133,918 (+2.6%); El Hierro, with 30,485 (+5.0%); and La Gomera, with 12,269 passengers (+4.2%).

January-July total

So far this year, Canary Islands airports have recorded 31,671,482 passengers, 5.0% more than in the same period in 2024.

Of the 31,481,904 commercial passengers, 12,807,207 traveled on domestic flights, 5.1% more, and 18,674,634 did so on international flights, 5.1% more than in the same period in 2024.

From January to July 2025, 281,041 aircraft movements were handled, 5.0% more than last year, and 18,665 tons of cargo were transported, 2.5% less than in 2024.

Aena Group Airports

The Aena Group airports (comprising 46 airports and two heliports in Spain, London Luton Airport, and 17 airports in Brazil) closed July 2025 with 38,474,698 passengers, 2.7% more than in the same month in 2024; They handled 319,591 aircraft movements, 0.9% more than in 2024, and transported 130,508 tons of cargo, 10.1% more than last year.
