Palma Airport Terminals
Palma Airport Terminals
Palma Airport has four terminals. Out of the four, terminal A is the only terminal that was part of the original airport. This is currently being used mostly for British bound low fare fights. Charter flights landing in the airport also use this terminal. Most domestic flights also use terminal A.
In 1958, an increase in passenger traffic resulted in the need for a second terminal. This addition was completed in 1965 and is known as terminal B. The terminal was later moved and is now located next to the control tower. It is used for inter-island flights.
Terminals C and D are used for international flights. The airport has a capacity of 25 million passengers per year, dispatching 12,000 passengers per hour. This is to be increased to 32 million in the future. These terminals will play a vital part in ensuring the airport can handle the passenger traffic..
